Adding some red accents to the living room is the right call! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Your blog is great!!!

Love your solutions. It does look like a difficult space with the different elevations between the rooms--I can see why they needed your help!

Have a great weekend, Kristin!

I think it is great that you have Free Advice Friday. So often, designers are intimidating for the public, but your solutions make sense for when you have a difficult area to decorate.

Great advice. Very thoughtful and thorough. Its funny how the client's colors are similar to yours. I recall your scour :)

Thanks for the great advice Kristin!!

I have no design talent at all, so my comment isn't worth much, but my sense is that the person with the question is moving toward a more contemporary space. I love the suggestions for the drapery for the family room, but am still wondering if the kitchen curtains should be retired? They are lovely, but just not as contemporary as the furniture in the family room.
