the shops look like they might be fun and interesting!

Glad you all made it and are still on speaking terms.

Don't fret too much about the furniture in storage...just remember this isn't a permanent move. You are just ahead of yourself for the next redecorating project.

Can't wait to see your future posts!

Wow, it is a pretty town. Sorry abou the lack of modern conveiences. You can move back here I I'll make sure they are all waiting for you :) Seriuously, sounds like the move went fairly well. Yiu will have the best decorated carriage house on the east coast ~ that is for sure. Welcome back to blogging!

Welcome to your new home! Moving is never easy, that's for sure, but sounds like you've had some real adventures. I know I shouldn't laugh at your pain, but your descriptions cracked me up. Hang in there. That town is definitely worth the trouble--so charming! I can't imagine not having fast food or food you can have delivered or a pizza place that doesn't take credit, though. Yikes. That'll take some getting used to, I imagine.

How nice to have your husband so close to work! Dave used to be able to come home for lunch every day until his office recently relocated across town, and we really miss that.

My sister in law is from Concord! I've actually been there to their wedding (in the white church you pictured, I think) :). It is such a precious town. I hope you have fun getting settled and learning a different way of living!

I have been reading your blog for a while and love your style. I have been to Concord, it is beautiful. We used to live in Midlothian, VA - my favorite place but, got hubby a job promotion and had to move with it...
