When I first told a friend of mine that I was going to start blogging for my business, the above picture is what immediately entered her mind. So I thought I’d recreate the image for this introductory entry. It really is spot on. I have entered the social networking scene with a lot of trepidation.
In addition to designing great rooms, mothering two children, and being a military spouse, I now have to be a writer. This is quite a stretch. I have been advised by so many industry experts that this is the wave of the future that I’ve been convinced. So this blog will provide design info and advice, talk about my design biz, and digress to posts regarding my military spouse responsibilities while being mildly humorous and entertaining. I say mildly because if you add comedian to the list of jobs, I will most certainly need valium.
I will try and post every week or two. Twice per month, I'll have “Free Advice Fridays.” I will post a couple of reader design dilemmas and give them advice/and or solutions. So if you have any questions please post them for Fridays. Also please make comments and be interactive with me. I’m open to any suggestions and or topics you’d like to see covered. If you are a seasoned blogger and want to explain all this Mr Linky, Stumble it, etc…stuff to me that’d be great to. I really don’t know what the heck I’m doing. So here’s to being a slave to my computer.
Cheers!

Too funny! I love this picture! :-)

Actually, I always find you amusing so I think that is less of a stretch than writing. The site is beautiful! Congrats! Your hard work paid off and I will be following along and may submit a Friday question or two for you:)

Hey Kristin, it's Deborah Frederick (and in my heart, I'm always Keiko). This website is awesome. I'm so excited to be able to see how things are going with you as well as ask you some design questions and demand a solution on Free Advice Fridays. I wanna be your first topic!!!

Your social networking picture is the best!
Was glad to see the green & black combo being endorsed since I just did something a bit similar in my kitchen.
Cheers!

Kristin I love the website. it really is nice and easy to follow. you know that we are finally giving up the "air force decorating plan" and therefore I will be needing to decorate for real this time. I will need you to come to Dayton ASAP and we can go out for all the great food that you miss in the evenings and decorate during the day. Good luck with your move and business. Monica
